The $5 bill features images of the Canadarm and Dextre (Canada's robotic handyman in space). The $10 bill features a scenic train.
Check out some photos of the new bills here. I've read not everyone is impressed with the new bills, calling them cartoon-y, and now that the polymer set is complete, how do you feel about Canada's currency?
Im not fully impressed - I find the bills stick and do have a cartoony feel.
ReplyDeleteGranted, if it makes it harder for people to counterfeit - I guess it's worth it!
True, it is worth it!
DeleteI hate how the new bills stick together :(
ReplyDeleteBefore it didn't matter as I wasn't carrying around $100's lol.. haven't had a problem with the $20's yet, will see what it's like with a bunch of $5's when they come into circulation
DeleteEveryone says that the new bills stick together but I have yet to have that happen to me. I actually like the bills, their designs and the way they were made. I do however miss the hockey rink on the 5 but the Canadarm is still pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had them stick together, but I hate how they don't fold completely
