Should we change the Canadian National Anthem?

Did you know Canada..  Famed Canadian Margaret Atwood, former prime minister Kim Campbell and other prominent Canadian women calling for the lyrics of "O Canada" to be more gender-neutral.

Instead of "all thy sons command" they'd like to hear "in all of us command".  In a statement from Margaret Atwood she says "The words 'all thy sons command' in the English national anthem suggests that only male loyalty is being invoked,".

Check out a YouTube Video about their thoughts here:

Tell me, what do you think?

  3. Please don't hate me, but I honestly believe that we should leave it as is! I personally have NEVER found it to be sexist or disrespectful at all!

  4. I think that we should leave it alone! I never even considered it to mean what she says it does. TRADITION means more to me than this stupid notion of hers.

  5. I agree with the consensus here, it's part of our history and should be left as is.
