When Twilight Sparkle's crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, she purses the thief, Sunset Shimmer, into an alternate world where she finds herself turned into.. a teenage girl!
That's right, this fun movie re-envisions the main characters of Friendship Is Magic, normally ponies, as human characters in a high school setting! This was a very exciting turn of events for all our My Little Pony fans!
TO regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight must learn how to fit into this strange, new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. Luckily, she will have the assistance of Spike and five teenage girls who remind her of a certain group of ponies back home. ;)
Taking place after the season three finale and before the fourth season of Friendship is Magic, if you have a serious My Little Pony fan at home, this is a must see! What a fun surprise to bring home this week to enjoy during the summer. We have watched it a few times already, the kids are enjoying comparing the girls with their pony counterparts.
